On 29 June 2026, the University of Padova (Interdepartmental Center for Research in Viticulture and Enology – CIRVE), together with the Italian ENOTOUR partners Massimago, Instituto Da Collo and Veneto Marketing srl, successfully organised the dissemination event “Innovative Tools and Training for the Developmentof Wine Tourism in Veneto”in Conegliano, Italy.
Hosted by the Italian VET partner Istituto di Istruzione Superiore Francesco Da Collo, the event brought together more than 70 participants, including wineries, consultants, public authorities and representatives of wine routes, appellation consortia and farmers’ associations. The event formed part of the ENOTOUR dissemination strategy, aiming to engage regional stakeholders and promote dialogue on the future of wine tourism in Veneto.
The first part of the programme focused on presenting the main outputs developed within the ENOTOUR project. Participants were introduced to the ENOTOUR MOOCs, designed to strengthen skills in wine tourism management and hospitality for both students and winery professionals. The Self-Assessment Tool was then presented as a practical resource enabling wineries to evaluate their current level of digital and virtual maturity and identify opportunities for improvement. Finally, attendees discovered the Virtual Experience component, which supports wineries in creating digital narratives and immersive experiences that enhance visitor engagement before, during and after a winery visit.
The second part of the event explored broader perspectives on the digital transformation of wine tourism. Regional authorities presented the current regulatory framework and key figures describing the evolution of wine tourism in Veneto, while companies specialising in digital solutions showcased innovative technologies that wineries can adopt to strengthen their competitiveness and visitor experience.
The event concluded with a lively round-table discussion featuring representatives from wineries, the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Consortium and the Regional Network of Wine and Traditional Product Routes. The discussion highlighted several key topics, including the importance of staff training, the role of regional collaboration in building a coherent wine tourism strategy, and the value of digital tools in communicating the cultural heritage, traditions and identity of wine destinations.
The strong participation and active exchange of ideas confirmed the growing interest of the wine tourism sector in digital innovation and lifelong learning. The event also reinforced ENOTOUR’s mission of supporting wineries through practical tools, specialised training and collaborative knowledge-sharing, contributing to a more competitive, sustainable and digitally connected wine tourism ecosystem across Europe.
