Dating back to the 18th century, Quinta de S. Sebastião is referenced by its Portuguese manor house and a centuries-old chapel, around which stories of pilgrimages and miraculous events have been told. All the architecture and stone work are original. Only the frescos (paintings) have been rehabilitated in the current century. Till today it's considered a place of wonder and shelter, providing a welcoming protection on both rainy and hot days. In the beginning of the XIX century, the military fort raised next to the estate, to defend the village from the third Napoleonic Invasion, was named after our patron saint.
