The Massimago winery in Mezzane di Sotto is a historic Valpolicella winery (active since 1883) that now works exclusively with certified organic farming methods. The winemaking process is artisanal, with manual harvesting, careful drying of the grapes for “appassito” wines, maceration and aging in wood and bottles, favoring methods that respect the terroir and the freshness of the fruit. In short: Massimago is a winery with a strong territorial and organic identity, offering traditional Veronese wines with a contemporary style, enhancing the soil, native varieties, and careful, sustainable production.
At Massimago, the harvest is carried out entirely by hand, with careful selection of the bunches. The grapes are then taken to the cellar or fruit cellar to begin drying and vinification.
