The visit to the Gramona Universe

Narrativa

Explora la història i els seus punts d’interès

The experience can begin in a unique and memorable way, exploring the vineyards on horseback or moving through the estate in clean, silent, and fully sustainable electric vehicles, which make it easy and pleasant for visitors to connect with the land at a slower, more intimate pace, discovering the estate from a privileged perspective. The tour begins in the vineyards, where the landscape opens into a living mosaic of soils, textures, and biodiversity. Here, traditional grape varieties such as Xarel·lo, Macabeu, Malvasia, Garnacha, and Sumoll coexist with international varieties such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, all cultivated with deep respect for them and for the environment. Vineyards of different ages, mostly trained in traditional bush vine systems, coexist with newer key-line plantings, reflecting a viticulture that seeks balance, resilience, and true expression of the terroir. Among cover crops, insects, birds, and spontaneous flora, the estate reveals itself as a living ecosystem where biodiversity is not merely a concept, but a daily reality. The journey continues at the biodynamic farm, the epicentre of the estate’s viticultural organisation. Here, soil, plants, and animals form an interdependent system that strives for self-sufficiency and soil regeneration. It is a space where sustainability is not an abstract goal, but a daily practice that guides every decision, from compost and biodynamic preparations to vineyard work rhythms. During key moments such as the harvest season, the experience becomes even more intense, with a visit to our winery. The grapes arrive at the winery, a bioclimatic building ahead of its time, designed to support each stage of winemaking with sensitivity and precision. From the arrival of the grapes to their transformation into predominantly sparkling wine, the process unfolds through a combination of century-old knowledge, innovation, and patience. The final result is a fine, elegant wine, aged on its lees for as long as is required to reach its fullest expression. The visit concludes in the historic cellars, where silence and dim light preserve the memory of time. There, one may even witness the disgorging of a bottle at room temperature, a precise gesture that connects tradition and craftsmanship. The experience is completed with an exquisite tasting of our wines, accompanied by aperitifs or gastronomic menus, all prepared with regional ingredients. To come to the estate is to experience it fully. It is to share, to understand, and above all, to want to return.
